Letter from the Administrator

Dear Friends and Families,

March Madness– they call it that for a reason! The entire month was a whir! As we enter the spring season, I look back on March and think of our fun activities from celebrating National Oreo Cookie Day to a St. Paddy’s Day Wheelchair Parade to playing basketball and watching the tournaments and even just playing music and relaxing with the popcorn machine going. We also had employee appreciation day for all shifts as we are truly appreciative of efforts provided by our employees every day.

As part of our effort to encourage COVID vaccinations, every employee who received a vaccination was entered to win a 55 inch television. One of our LPNs won and the picture with the winner and the DON is included within this newsletter. To update our COVID situation, we currently have no positive staff or residents in the building, although we have just recently come off of outbreak status due to a positive staff person. Our status can change from one day to the next, and your patience is appreciated as we navigate the COVID waters. We will continue to closely follow CDC guidelines and MS Dept of Health recommendations to keep our staff and residents as safe as possible.

Again, please remember we do currently offer outside family and friends’ visitation with restrictions and encourage you to reach out to our social services department and schedule a time to come visit.

As always, thank you for allowing Canton Manor to partner with you in the care and support of your loved ones.

Penney Stokes
