Letter from the Administrator – July 2021

Dear Friends and Families,

Let me begin by noting this is being written in mid-June and Canton Manor is COVID free! Home visits are increasing and plans are being made to return to day programming offsite at FCP in July. Residents are excited, as are staff, to be getting back to at least quasi normal. Activities continue throughout the building every day and recreational activities are inside and out, enjoying the weather before it gets too hot. May Day was a huge success and enjoyed by all.

One of our group home residents, Rommel, recently left and has enrolled in the Access Program at Mississippi State University. We couldn’t be happier for him and celebrate his new venture! Congratulations!

Rommell - former resident

Rommell MSU Bound!

I am appreciative to our staff who work hard every day to help things run smoothly. We celebrated National Do-Nut Day recently and I “Do-Nut” what I would do without them! We also enjoyed Newk’s tea on National Ice Tea Day as appreciation for our great employee “Safe-Tea” record for the quarter!

We are looking forward to a great summer. As always, thank you for allowing Canton Manor to partner with you in the care and support of your loved ones.
